MINUTES - July 8, 2008
MINUTES:
Meeting
called to order at 7:50 by President Paul Lutzen
Minutes from
June read and approved.
Treasurer’s
report read and approved.
OLD BUSINESS
Clay and
Nassau counties have been notified of the up coming membership drive
cookout. Cookout to be held on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Fire Museum.
A report was
given on the Apalachicola trip. The weather was excellent for the trip
over. On Saturday however, it was rainy 90% of the day. Different groups
made their way around for the day and then we met at the Treadwell’s condo
for dinner. Thanks to Gordon Morgan for the use of his car for the grocery
store. Three bikes left on Sunday to return home. We are thankful they
made it safe due to inclement weather. Monday’s ride home for the remaining
bikes was uneventful and safe for all. Apalachicola is certainly a place to
keep in mind for a future ride.
NEW BUSINESS
Paul Lutzen
will be ride captain for the July ride. It will be an evening ride. Meet
at the Cracker Barrel at I95 and Dunn Ave at 5:00. Ride then will lead us
to Sejay’s on Jekyll Island.
RIDES
Warren and
Linda will have August’s ride. We will have details to follow. The ride
will be to Camp Blanding to watch the 20th Special Forces make a
parachute water jumps into
Kingsley
Lake.
There were
no more or reports and the meeting was adjourned at 8:18
