Greetings to all my fellow Red Knights. I wanted to let you in on all the latest stuff going on in your club. We held our January meeting at Denny’s on Blanding Blvd and we had a great turn out. We haven’t met there in a long time and they made us feel like family. As you probably know by the website, we have a new slate of officers for 2010, and they are excited about the coming year. Our goal is to get the club together more often doing what we all love, motorcycle riding. Watch the web site for monthly rides as well as lunch rides, dinner rides, and last minute get togethers.

We had a large turnout at the last meeting and got right to business. After the usual reading of the minutes and treasurer reports, we got into old business. Your club donated $400.00 and took a family in need shopping this Christmas. They very much appreciated our effort to brighten their holiday. We also donated $100.00 to the Jacksonville Humane Society in memory of a club members family. I’m happy to report that we sent $5000.00 to the Moebius Syndrome Foundation which was raised at our 50’s Sock Hop. It was a great success and we all had a great time there. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make it happen. We received a very nice letter from the Foundation thanking us for our support. They asked for a write-up and some pictures for their magazine.

We held our annual Christmas Party in December and we want to thank Paul and Melanie for hosting it this year. They opened their home to us and a wonderful meal was prepared and served by Chef Michael. It was a great evening of fun and games and a gourmet meal to top it off. Can’t wait till next year.

Our new webmaster has taken over and is getting up to speed. He hopes to get the site updated and add new pictures and information. He asks that any member who has something they want to post on the site to please send it to him.

Our President brought up the topic of a new club picture. We discussed several possible sites for the photo but decided to wait till the Feb. meeting and have everyone bring in their ideas for a location for the picture. If you know of a good location, please send it along or better yet, bring it to the meeting.

As always, we saved the best for last. We voted in 5 new members at the last meeting. With 47 members, we are still growing and continue to get requests for information about the Red Knights. Remember, this is your club and it is what we make so get involved. Come out and show us what you’ve done to your scoot.
