MESSAGE
FROM THE SECRETARY
Hey Red Knights,
I hope everyone is enjoying all this great
weather. It's time to get those scoots out and
dust them off. The riding season is upon us so
come on out and join the fun. I just wanted to
keep everyone up on what's going on with your
club.
We held our
April meeting on the 13'th and here's some of
what's happening. The Club is going to have a
new picture taken soon. It will be staged at
Fire Station 13 in San Marco where we'll line up
bikes and people for a picture taken perhaps
from Buddy's Snorkel Truck. You don't want to
be left out so watch the website for information
and date and time.
Paul is setting
up a ride to Robbinsville,NC for a 1 week stay
at the Smokey Mountain Mansion. You have to see
this place to believe it. The dates are June
4-11 and a deposit of $200.00 per person and
names need to be turned into Paul by May 4. You
can see the venue on their website which is
Smokey Mountain Mansion.com. There is a lot of
great bike riding in the area including the
Dragon's Tail and the Cherohala Skyway. Call
Paul for additional information. Make your
plans now!
Linda is
putting together a trip in October to
Emmitsburg,MA for the ceremonies at the
FireFighter Memorial. Neal Tarkington's name
will be placed on the Memorial this year. Dates
are Sept.29-Oct 5. If you plan to go, contact
Linda soon as she is blocking rooms at the
hotel.
We have a
special meeting coming up in May. It's a great
chance to see all your friends and club members
and get a great meal too !!. Check out the
website for all the information and times.
We discussed
alot of rides in the area and around Florida
including the JEA ride for United Way, the Baker
County Ride with Fire and the Leesburg Bike
Rally all of which are coming up. There are
always last minute rides taking place for
breakfast or lunch or just a great day to get
out so stay in touch with your fellow club
members.
This is your
club so get involved
